Students are assessed throughout the course by instructor observation of the essential skills. There is no formal summative assessment for this course.

The Emergency First Aid course is designed to train individuals and company staff that require appointed person training in basic first aid skills. This course will provide first aid skills necessary to manage a patient that is not breathing normally, is unconscious or is bleeding
prior to the arrival of the emergency services.

The Emergency First Aid course is designed to meet the recommendations of the HSE Health and Safety at Work (1981) Regulations for Appointed Persons in the Workplace.

This course also meets the first aid requirements of the Department
for Children, Schools and Families for First Aid in Schools.

The First Aid at Work course is designed to train individuals and company staff that requires HSE approved first aid at work training to meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (1981) Regulations. This course will provide all the required first aid skills necessary to manage a patient that is not breathing normally, is unconscious, bleeding or is ill or injured prior to the arrival of the emergency services. It also covers other topics such as COSHH, RIDDOR and other first aid health and safety at work information.

The First Aid at Work course is designed to meet the requirements of the HSE Health and Safety at Work (1981) Regulations for First Aid in the Workplace.

The initial course is delivered over a minimum of 4 days (24 contact hours). The 2 day refresher course covers the complete syllabus and updates any changes to procedures or protocols.

This course also meets the first aid requirements of the Department for Children, Schools and Families for First Aid in Schools.

The Paediatric First Aid course is designed to train individuals to provide immediate first aid care for infants and children. This course also includes adult essential skills in basic life support as they differ from the skills of the infant and child.

This course meets the first aid requirements of Ofsted for the Early Years Foundation Stage standards, the National Childminding Association, the Pre-School Learning Alliance, and the Department for Children, Schools and Families Surestart guidelines for Paediatric First Aid.

This course will provide first aid skills necessary to manage an infant or child that is not breathing normally, is unconscious, bleeding or is ill or injured prior to the arrival of the emergency services.

The Sports First Aid course is designed for all levels of sport and recreational activities and can be used to train individuals that require basic first aid skills and training in the management of sports specific illnesses and injuries. This course will provide first aid skills necessary to manage a patient that is not breathing normally, is unconscious or bleeding prior to the arrival of the emergency services.

This course will also provide participants with the opportunity to gain fundamental knowledge and skills in order to recognise and manage common injuries sustained in sports and provide immediate "Non-Emergency" first aid care.

The Sports First Aid course also meets the recommendations of the HSE Health and Safety at Work (1981) Regulations for Appointed Persons in the Workplace.

This course also meets the first aid requirements of the Department for Children, Schools and Families for First Aid in Schools

This course meets the guidelines of the UK and European Resuscitation Councils for Basic Life Support and the use of an AED.
